OMONA THEY DIDN'T! Endless charms, endless possibilities - Actor ...

Although EXO's "Growl" is a song that may be a familiar tune to the younger generation familiar with the idol world, it definitely turned out to be a brand new experience for veteran singer of "Swallowtail Butterfly" ("Horangnabi"), Kim Heung Kook!
During the tvN Chuseok special 'Eight Provinces Wandering Band', Yoon Jong Shin asked the daughter of a family in the area who joined the band's tent, "Who is your favorite singer?" The girl replied shyly, "EXO".

Yoon Jong Shin asked Kim Heung Kook, "Do you know 'Growl'?", to which the confused Kim Heung Kook responded, "Did a tiger come out?... The title of the song is 'Growl'? Is it a song about animals?" The cast then started to play along to the tune and the girl even sang a bit of the chorus, which as you know, only says "eureurung [growl] eurerung eureurungdae~", leaving Kim Heung Kook even more confused about the song as he remarked, "What kind of song just growls and ends?"

Still wanting to test her devotion to EXO, Kim Heung Kook then proceeded to ask the girl, "Who is more handsome to you, your dad or EXO?", and of course, the girl didn't hesitate to respond, "EXO," leaving everyone, including her dad, to chuckle.

(The segment and short cover of EXO's "Growl" starts at the 13:30 mark!) (no english sub)

k netizens reactions:

Article: Kim Heung Guk reacts to EXO, "What kind of a song ends after just some growls?"

1. [+1,941, -100] Growl or whatever, I don't care about EXO since they don't matter to me if I don't listen to their music or care about them but can their fans please just stick to talking about them in their fancafes instead of spamming in Nate Pann ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ There's nothing to read in Pann anymore these days

2. [+1,634, -159] That's right, I wholeheartedly agree with him

3. [+1,483, -190] Exactly ㅋㅋㅋㅋ so many stupid fangirls praising a pathetic song like that

4. [+100, -11] His response is how normal people should respond to EXO. How many people have actually listened to the full song? I was forced to listen to it on Infinity Challenge and that was it. I'm not saying that EXO as a group is bad, the problem is their fandom. What every site agrees on as the #1 enemies to Korea are #1 Japan and #2 EXO's stupid fangirls. There are three simple reasons:

1. After an EXO member and Sulli started flirting with each other and rumors began to spread, the fandom started spreading sh*t about Sulli to ruin her image.
2. Yoo Jae Suk's diss incident
3. Their campaign against a foreign LoL pro player just because his name is EXO. You can search all these reasons on Naver for specific explanations.

The worst part is that the #3 campaign is still ongoing and they're embarrassing Korea worldwide.

5. [+91, -6] Do EXO fans not have their own fancafes? Why do they keep spamming Pann? like homeless beggars ㅋㅋㅋ

6. [+82, -8] Are all the stupid fangirls stuck at their grandparents' in the countryside for the holidays? ㅋㅋ The best replies are all normal for once

7. [+79, -8] EXO just continues to rack up the antis due to their stupid fans spamming up Pann

8. [+54, -8] That's SM's problem....... once they exhaust every other option, they resort to hook songs...

Source: Newsen via Nate

For those who don't know this is the YJS diss incident:

"Hello!! This is from a respectful EXO fan♥ Yoo Jaesuk ahjussi..if you can't dance, please don't copy idol groups' dances..I almost threw up watching the Infinity Challenge episode when you copied the Growl dance;; however I was jealous of the high school unnies who were on the show because they got to see EXO right before their eyes ㅠㅠ also, Yoo Jaesuk ahjussi, please don't act like you know them or act kind to the idols you've met for the first time. I can see your fakenessㅋㅋ you're only going to see them once so why do you act like you know them and act kind to them?? I'm so baffledㅋㅋ EXO is the trend and they're already worldly known stars so they don't need you to act kindly to them. Ask any Chinese person between EXO vs. Yoo Jaesuk and they'll tell you EXO of course"

'I Hear Your Voice's Lee Da Hee gets emotional upon seeing Yoo Jae Suk and ... - allkpop

Lee Da Hee, who recently starred in the the hit drama 'I Hear Your Voice', couldn't help but become emotional when her prepared dish was not received so well by the tasters Yoo Jae Suk and Park Myung Soo!

SEE ALSO: MBLAQ's Lee Joon receives an offer for 'We Got Married'?

On the September 19th broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Happy Together 3', the guests once again competed for a chance to have their late-night dish make it onto the show's 'menu'. Lee Da Hee introduced her dish which she and her fans named, 'Woo Da Doen Myun', which is short for 'Wooyoo [milk] meets Da Hee and Falls In Doenjang [bean paste] myun [noodles]'. The dish is a mix of instant ramen noodles, kimchi, cream, and bean paste.

Although the dish looked promising on sight, once having tasted it, Park Myung Soo didn't look to enjoy it much at all. Seeing his mediocre reaction, Lee Da Hee started to say, "No, please don't react like that, don't make that face." Yoo Jae Suk promised her that he'll try to have a better reaction to it, but once he took a bite, he couldn't help but freeze and start to choke as he laughed.

Lee Da Hee burst into laughter but also started to shed tears at the same time. When asked why she she was showing tears, the actress revealed that it was because she felt so bad and apologetic to her fans as they had stayed up late into the night, helping her come up with the dish and naming it.

Becoming overwhelmed by laughter as well as her apologetic heart, the actress continued to show more tears, and the other guests and permanent cast members started to call the two MCs 'bad men' for making Lee Da Hee cry. So, having not much of a choice and wanting to console her, the two MCs continued to eat, even clearing out the plate as they shouted "This is so delicious!" However, as it was clear they were doing it out of sympathy, the set continued to laugh as Lee Da Hee, half in tears and half laughing, would ask, "How is it? Is it bad?".

Check it out for yourself in the clip below! (around 25:25 mark)

Gary shows his affection for Song Ji Hyo with a kiss on 'Running Man' - Yahoo! Philippines News

LEESSANG’s Gary recently show his affection for his ‘Monday Couple’ partner Song Ji Hyo on SBS TV ‘Running Man’ this past Sunday, and drew much attention from everyone in the aftermath.

In the ‘Battle for Princess Ji Hyo’ special on September 14th, the surprise kiss by Gary on the cheek of Song Ji Hyo, who had an ambiguous relationship to begin with on the show, left viewers and everyone who were filming the show with them dumbfounded.

Ji Hyo had appeared at the start of the program as a princess, and dazzled with her white wedding gown, and light make-up. Yoo Jae Suk kept on harping, “So beautiful,” while the other ‘Running Man’ cast members who had always treated her as a ‘brother’, also started showing never-before-seen show of affections towards her.

Gary however stood out with his tuxedo outfit, being a perfect match with Ji Hyo’s wedding gown, and they looked like a couple made for each other. Song Ji Hyo even held Gary’s hand, with Gary doing the same, as the ambiguous relationship between them just accelerated even faster.

The 3 teams had to do a dance battle to impress Ji Hyo, and win the chance to travel with her in a air-conditioned luxury car. Gary was in G-Dragon’s team, and they had to do battle with teams led by Daesung and Seungri, in order to catch the eye of Ji Hyo.

In the final dance round, Gary suddenly went up to Ji Hyo, held her head with his hands, and kissed her on her right cheek. Gary was shy yet daring, while a look of disbelief surfaced on Ji Hyo’s face, but the overall picture was simply beautiful. The romantic and surprise kiss also ascertained that couples can be born out of variety programs, while also providing viewers with an unexpected surprise to beat away the summer heat.

Let’s us wait and see how the ‘romance’ between Gary and Song Ji Hyo will turn out from here on.

5 weird facts about Running Man star Yoo Jae Suk - DramaFever

Running Man can almost be called a perfect mix of reality, game and overall star-studded variety show… and none of it would be possible without its charismatic host, Yoo Jae Suk. With the kickass nickname, “MC of the Nation,” both South Koreans and Korean culture enthusiasts have given him their seal of approval as the most-loved comedian and TV personality.

Yet despite how high-profile Jae Suk is, we still don’t know his whole story… so read on for 5 weird facts you probably didn’t know about him till now (and if you already knew, then you are a true Jae Suk expert!).

1) He’s extremely ticklish.

For diehard Jae Suk fans, this is no secret. Why? Because on an early episode of Infinity Challenge, Jae was required to hold water in his mouth for just 15 seconds while being tickled. However, the super-sensitive skin of poor Jae couldn’t take it and he immediately twisted his body and spit out the water, even after two more tries. Jae was also tickled during episode 69 of Running Man when Choi Min Soo wanted revenge for a previous episode and tickled him for a whole minute until he cried. Poor Jae!

2) He almost had a feature song on PSY’s album, PSY 6.

PSY himself revealed on an episode of Infinity Challenge that Jae was originally going to be featured in a single on his PSY 6 album (you know, the one with that song, what was it called? Oh yeah, Gangnam Style!). But because it conflicted with the release of Jae’s single, Sagging Snail, Jae opted to do a cameo in the Gangnam Style MV instead. We think it was a wise decision!

3) Grasshoppers.

So what does a grasshopper have to do with Jae Suk? Well, fans of his know that the grasshopper is very dear to Jae, since he has appeared in grasshopper costume during the first episodes of shows he had debuted with KBS. The jumpy joker has even made his own grasshopper dance, which is inspired by the way grasshoppers hop. But this grasshopper has learned plenty since his early days, so we say, hop on!

4) He's so popular, people even made a stink about him having his hands in his pockets.

Maybe his hands were cold? During an episode of Infinity Challenge, Jae Suk dressed as a taxi driver for one of their challenges. Jae engaged in conversation with a fellow driver, but had his hands in his pockets the whole time, which is apparently considered disrespectful and rude. Some viewers got in a huff about it, saying Jae has a “bad attitude” for that gesture… but loyal viewers and fans defended Jae, saying “it’s amazing how so many people try so hard to see the tiniest flaw” in Jae. Hey, putting your hands in your pockets is pretty normal, no?

5) He doesn’t go out in public much since he’s so popular.

Jae Suk is a very private person and does all he can to protect his family from the hordes of feral fans, which translates to him not appearing with them in public much. Imagine being trapped in your house, not able to go out to eat a meal or go to the movies without chaperones? Well, Jae does it to protect his family from the media, and we don’t blame him! Some fans can get just a bit out of control, if you know what we mean.

'Running Man' shares BTS clip of cast learning idol choreography - allkpop

The 'Running Man' cast attempted idol choreography on last week's 'Idol Special' episode, and an unseen behind-the-scenes clip has now been revealed of their practice.

SBS tweeted on the 12th, "Last week's fabulous 'Running Man' opening was possible because of a rapid course. We're sharing a short clip of the dance practice that didn't make the air."

On the September 8th broadcast, Lee Kwang Soo-MBLAQ, HaHa-INFINITE, Gary-A Pink, Yoo Jae Suk-Girl's Day, Kim Jong Kook-SISTAR, and Ji Suk Jin-2PM teamed up to open up the show with dance performances.

Minah Thanks Yoo Jae Suk for Cheering on Girl's Day During ...

Girl’s Day‘s Minah went to her Twitter to thank MC Yoo Jae Suk after appearing on the special idol episode of “Running Man.”

On September 8 Minah wrote on her Twitter, “I didn’t know when I was on the set, but to the end our name… I was so honored. Thank you. Jae Suk Oppa.”

On the same day’s broadcast of “Running Man,” Minah appeared with Yura to represent Girl’s Day for the idol special. The two members teamed up with Yoo Jae Suk to form a team and participated in the races but had to leave early due to scheduling. Although his team members had to leave him, Yoo Jae Suk chanted Girl’s Day’s names at the final event. It seems that Minah was touched that Yoo Jae Suk continued to represent Girl’s Day even after they were gone.

WBW: Old School Artists We Want as a Mentor - allkpop

One of the better shows on Korean cable recently was 'Lee Hyori's X Unni' which featured the K-pop diva as she tried to mentor the talented but underachieving girl group SPICA. SPICA is under the same label as Lee Hyori and while they're recognized as amazingly talented, they have not been able to crack through to the upper echelon of girl groupdom. I thought it was great watching Hyori as she tapped into her vast reservoir of knowledge and tried to push the little group that could towards the right direction.

That got me thinking, if I were an up-and-coming K-pop group, which old school K-pop star would I want as a mentor? Today's Way Back Wednesday will feature some artists who I feel would have the most to offer. There are many who are actively doing just that and others who aren't in the spotlight but all have something to offer.

Yang Hyun Suk, J.Y. Park, Lee Soo Man

Whether you're a fan of these guys or not, there is no question that they are running the most important companies in K-pop right now. I think it would be a great opportunity to go through the famed JYP and SM Academies or the rigorous monthly auditions in front of YG and his crew (*note to self: food documentary idea). Who better to learn from than the three people who have revolutionized the K-pop landscape? And yes, before creating H.O.T. and SM Entertainment, Lee Soo Man was once a well-known singer in Korea (check the 3rd video below).

[embedded content] [embedded content] [embedded content]

Lee Hyori

I just had to include the queen. The one thing I liked about Lee Hyori while she was working with the aforementioned SPICA is that she was able to be emotionally invested with the group but always kept sight of their shortcomings and what they needed to work on. She kept it real, she understands the game, and she was focused on success.

Teddy Park

Yang Hyun Suk has had the good fortune of having some of the best producers in K-pop work for him from Lee Hyun Do and Perry back in the Jinusean days to Brave Brothers. The main producer over at YG over the past 5 years or so is none other than former 1TYM leader Teddy. This guy is rarely in the spotlight but even newbie K-pop fans know his name because of the huge hits he's created with 2NE1, Big Bang, and others. Forget having him mentor me, I would love to just sit down with him and talk about his philosophy on music and where he gets his inspiration from that has had the likes of Lady Gaga asking to work with him.

Yoon Mi Rae

I've said this many times (maybe too many) but Yoon Mi Rae is the biggest hidden gem in Korea. I think she is more talented than the majority of "artists" in the Korean music scene but for reasons beyond my comprehension, she just has never hit it big. That could be an asset; the knowledge of why things didn't work out and help a group avoid that road. I think she has the perfect blend of compassion and know-how to shape a group into stars.

[embedded content]

Tiger JK

Speaking of Yoon Mi Rae, did you watch the 'Infinity Challenge' Duet Concert back in 2007? Her husband, Tiger JK teamed up with Yoo Jae Suk and watching him work was enlightening. He had this super organic, non-pressure system of just letting Yoo Jae Suk do anything and just go with the flow. Teaching is not about what you know, it's about communicating what you know the best and Tiger JK had that zen, Yoda-like thing going on.

[embedded content]

BoA

I'll be honest, when BoA was first mentioned as a judge on 'K-pop Star' with J.Y. Park and Yang Hyun Suk, I didn't think she had the gravitas to hold her own but boy was I wrong. BoA has actually turned out to be the most insightful judge of the three and it stems from her thirteen years in the music business, which began at a very early age, and all of the hardships and lessons she's learned. Who better to lead the next generation of young stars than the original, truly young idol star?

[embedded content]

Kim Jo Han

The former Solid front man has been steadily working behind the scenes as a vocal coach to some of K-pop's biggest stars and as one of the first (if not the first) Korean-Americans to make it big in the K-pop scene, I think he would have a unique perspective as someone who was a part of the very early K-pop scene but now can watch from the background on the changing industry.

[embedded content]

Moon Hee Jun

I've always been intrigued by Moon Hee Jun after I found out that he actually created the dances for the H.O.T. hit "Warrior's Descendent" and S.E.S' "I'm Your Girl" among others. I just thought it was interesting that he had the skill set to come up with these iconic dances. On top of that, even though his rock metal career was a painful failure, I like the fact that he even tried that type of music. Moon Hee Jun seems to be in a good place right now and I think he would be perfect to help mentor and shape a young group just starting out.

[embedded content]

Kahi

After School isn't that old but the former leader has been in the business for thirteen years and has taken quite the road to get to where she is. Being a back dancer for years (she danced for DJ DOC, BoA, and 1TYM among others), choreography teacher, failed girl group member with S.Blush, then hitting it big with After School. That's a lifetime of diverse experiences right there and I feel that if anyone could communicate that to a young girl group, she would be the person.

[embedded content]

Some of you are probably wondering where people like Eric, Andy, Rain, Yoon Jong Shin, and Tony An are. Old schoolers who are actually mentoring and creating groups today. Honestly, they just didn't make my personal list. I feel the people on this list can really offer something that the other's can't and who I have personal admiration for. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am!

Along with Girl’s Day, representatives from other idol groups such as 2pm, BEAST, Sistar, MBLAQ, and A Pink also participated in the show.

Who was the 'King of Idols' on 'Running Man'? - Yahoo! Philippines News

The September 8th episode of ‘Running Man’ featured a slew of K-POP idol stars as they compete for the crown of ‘King of Idols’ alongside the ‘Running Man’ cast members.

In the first mission, the game was for all the members to climb onto a floating platform and staying on top of it until the timer ends. 2PM’s Wooyoung and Chansung were actually the first to clear the game, but eventually ended up as the last team after their ‘Running Man’ mate, Ji Suk Jin, was ousted by Lee Kwang Soo in a 1-on-1 battle at the very end.

The second mission saw the return of ‘Fly Blob Jump’, where a team would win by achieving the highest jump. Gary and the A PINK girls were placed 6th, while the B2ST members and Song Ji Hyo were a place higher after clearing 6m. INFINITE members and HaHa were 4th with 6m 40cm, while 3rd belonged to Lee Kwang Soo and the MBLAQ members with 6m 50cm. Yoo Jae Suk and the members of Girl’s Day were ruled the victors after clearing an incredible 7m 40cm, while Kim Jong Kook and the SISTAR girls finished second with 7m.

The third mission was a ‘campus dodge ball’ game, where everyone had to stay within a designated area and avoid being hit by balls flung by college students. Noticeably, the female idols were the first to falter as they were eliminated after a while.

The final mission was named as ‘time is gold’, where teams had to complete a series of obstacles in order to be crowned the king of idols. Due to scheduling conflicts after the recording took longer than expected, the Girl’s Day members had to leave the recording before the end, and thus leaving Yoo Jae Suk to clear the remaining missions on his own.

Thanks to the wit of Song Ji Hyo, it saw her and the B2ST members untie the knots in double quick time as they escaped their cage. This was followed by the team of MBLAQ and Kwang Soo, with HaHa and the INFINITE members coming in third. Ji Hyo and the B2ST members then cleared the blocks puzzle just ahead of the team of Ji Suk Jin and the 2PM members, as they got to the flag first, inserted the gold key, and claiming the final victory.

Idols stars who participated in the episode include 2PM’s Wooyoung and Chansung, B2ST’s Doojoon and Kikwang, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and Seungho, INFINITE’s Sunggyu and L, SISTAR’s Hyolyn and Dasom, Girl’s Day MinAh and Yura, and A PINK’s Jung Eun Ji and Son Na Eun.

Meanwhile, the preview shown at the end for next week’s episode revealed that the guests would be Big Bang’s G-Dragon, Daesung, and Seungri as they will join the other ‘Running Man’ members to win the love of ‘Princess’ Song Ji Hyo.

Lee Hyori's FinKL Group Mates Didn't Attend Her Wedding - KpopStarz

After months of teasing fans with her marriage plans, Lee Hyori finally tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Lee Sang Soon this past weekend in Jeju Island.

The ceremony was small and intimate with only the couple's closest friends and family members in attendance. It was also secluded in a vacation home on the island that was heavily guarded from the prying eyes of the public.

However, reports now are stating that not a single one of Lee Hyori's former Fin.K.L group mates attended her wedding.

Like Us on Facebook :

Fans of Lee Hyori and Fin.K.L have been expressing their shock over the news as it was previously thought that the first generation idols were and still are very close.

"Even Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Je Dong attended the wedding... and yet the so-called soulmate members did not," read one netizen comment on the Star News article reporting the issue.

Another comment explained, "I heard Ok Joo Hyun didn't even hear about her engagement until through the media anyway. I don't think any of them are close."

Just as back in the day, the current issue raises comparisons between Fin.K.L and rival girl group from yesteryear, SES.

"Even SES had a wedding photo shoot together... I guess Fin.K.L were never really close," remarked another netizen.

Other fans are not so surprised by the news citing that Lee Hyori previously has said that the group was always fairly split and that she had gone on to do her own thing a long time ago.

Still, it is unknown if the other Fin.K.L members were invited and didn't show, or if they just didn't make the cut when Lee Hyori and Lee Sang Soon were making the very limited guest list.

Shinhwa lives up to their name on 'Running Man' - Yahoo! Philippines News

The Shinhwa members with the exception of Kim Dong Wan were guests on the September 1sdt episode of ‘Running Man’. All 5 members showed their strong abilities in games and an abundance of variety flair which surely toped all the other guests that have appeared previously.

All 5 Shinhwa members displayed their own strong capabilities in the games throughout the episode. Andy outwitted Kim Jong Kook with a betrayal move of his own and won a crucial hint for the Shinhwa team. After receiving the tips and food, the Shinhwa members met with a crisis in the earlier part of the game. Andy and Shin Hye Sung were simultaneously taken out of the game first, and left the remaining Shinhwa members in a disadvantageous position.

But things soon went back to a level playing field, as Min Woo and JunJin worked together to eliminate Gary and HaHa to regain confidence. The two ‘undeads’ for both teams Yoo Jae Suk and Eric then had a thrilling face-off at the end. Eric had to face the remaining ‘Running Cast’ members himself, but was still able to come out on top with Yoo Jae Suk’s nametag and secure the win.

With no hints obtained from the games and losing to Shinhwa with only Eric remaining, the ‘Running Man’ cast were aggrieved to have lost the final game. But as they think about what had taken place during the games, and the fact that it had been a long time since they played with Shinhwa members, everyone was satisfied with the outcome and said, “It was really interesting.” The Shinhwa members were also delighted with the results and said, “We have to come again.”

The episode was filmed under hot summer weather conditions, and saw everyone expend a great deal of energy as they competed in games on land and sea, and it was certain that it was no walk in the park. The average age of the Shinhwa members were 34.4, but they complete broke all stereotypes and showed their active and humorous sides. With their strong sense of variety flair, Shinhwa totally showed their charms as kings of the variety field, and created another legend.
