According to broadcast insiders, 'Happy Together's production crew informed the cast, "There will be a lot of changes to KBS variety shows this spring", implying on their possible leave. It has also been rumored that all of the MCs will leave except Yoo Jae Suk.

An insider stated, "Although the staff stated that it hasn't been confirmed yet, they brought this up with MC Park Mi Sun in the room, implying to prepare their hearts... We are aware that the MCs will hold their final filming soon."

According to CBS No Cut News, a staff member commented, "It is true that the staff brought up talk about a possible leave with the cast but the variety show broadcast station put it on the back burner." A KBS variety show insider also added, "It is true that all of the MCs will leave... The staff are currently thinking of a new item."

However, the show's CP Han Kyung Chun quickly denied the rumors, telling OSEN on the 1st, "'Happy Together 3' is not a program that can be changed on a whim... The rumors of the MCs' replacement is false."

"Because 'Happy Together 3' is a long-running program, there are always rumors of a format change during the time for reorganization, but we decided that there is no reason to change the program which has been the top late night variety show on Thursdays."

It seems the staff agree that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

[Spoilers] 'You Who Came From the Stars' comes to 'Running Man' - allkpop

The cast members of 'Running Man' got together to parody the ultra-popular SBS drama, 'You Who Came From The Stars'!

The episode began several hundred years ago, where surprise guest Kim Hyun Soo re-enacted her role as Chun Song Yi. Imploring the others to save her by showing the way out, a fierce nametag-ripping chase ensued as Yoo Jae Suk eventually became the sole victor, getting a prize in the form of a future-telling notebook.

In the present day, HaHa was revealed to be the never-aging Do Min Joon - and with that role came a slate of superpowers such as extreme speed and time freezing! He needed to find the Chun Song Yi of this era and escape via the UFO that was parked outside.

However, they faced several hurdles in the form of the other 'Running Man' members, who could gain a path to victory by finding a secret key and opening the UFO themselves, and a mysterious lurking evil, who could rip name tags based on the scattered rings he found.

Amid this chaos, who eventually managed to escape in the UFO? And who was Chun Song Yi in the modern era? Find out by watching the whole episode below!

"Running Man" Featuring Shim Eun Kyung, The Cutie With The... Complaints? - KpopStarz

Shim Eun Kyung made a run into the hearts of many viewers on her appearance on SBS's variety show, "Running Man". She established her character early on, who showed displays of cuteness and outspokenness. Making comments like "This is harder than a track meet" and "Why don't you let me warm up" on camera, her childlike playfulness and cuteness oozed out during the show.

Like Us on Facebook

This week's episode of "Running Man", which airs every Sunday on SBS, featured Shim Eun Kyung and CNBLUE as guests. This week's race was "Seoul Tourism".

From the get go, Shim Eun Kyung caught the attention of the viewers. Forming a band with Red team teammates Kim Jong Gook, Lee Kwang Soo, and Song Ji Hyo, she sang "If I Go to L.A." from her new movie, "Miss Granny".

The first mission was to go to Gwang Jang Market, eat the food, and grab the "mission success" card. She walked quietly behind the members, mumbling "I didn't even eat breakfast". She then began to eat like a maniac, chomping down Kim Bap and Odeng. She didn't miss a beat (or bite) while eating her food whether she was in front of hundreds of onlookers or the camera that closely captured her face. It was cute to see her devour food like that.

She began to feel comfortable by the third mission and began to retort and complain about the missions to other members. Playing a game where she had to steal others' props or get hers stolen, she yelled exclamations such as "Why don't you go easy on me? I'm a girl!" and "Don't you care about your image outside of this show?" which brought onlookers to outbursts of laughter.

She even laid flat on the street, lamenting that she had no energy. When Yoo Jae Suk, the MC of the show, asked her about her initial claims to be a good runner, she retorted that it was all caught on camera and that he'll have to see the show to see her run. She also complained that nobody warms up in the show.

She played a big part in the fourth mission when she won a game against the 'weakest member' Ji Suk Jin.

The winner of the race, however, was not Shim Eun Kyung but CNBLUE and the Blue team. She made sure to comment that she had a great, fun-filled day. She also explained her surprise about much of the show being unscripted; she expected to win because she made a guest appearance to promote her movie, but she had to compete hard just to keep up.

Here's hoping to see Shim Eun Kyung and her charms on a different variety show in the near future!

'Running Man' does a parody of 'My Love from the Star' - Yahoo Philippines News

The February 16th episode of SBS TV ‘Running Man’ was a ‘My Love from the Running Star’ special as it parodied the hit drama series ‘My Love from the Star’. The ending saw Yoo Jae Suk who was playing Cheon Song Yi, getting into the UFO by himself and winning the ultimate prize of a gold necklace, as HaHa who was playing Do Min Joon was eliminated earlier on.

Yoo Jae Suk and his fellow cast members parodied hit drama series ‘My Love from the Start’ from start to finish. They started off with a search for child actress Kim Hyun Soo some ‘1600 years ago’, and this particular game was eventually won by the quick witted Yoo Jae Suk.

The second game saw Song Ji Hyo going up against Kim Jong Kook in a coin flipping game, and was eventually won by the former who got a clue which would be critical in the final game. We were also given the fact that HaHa would be playing the role of Do Min Joon for the final game.

In the final game, everyone began to realize that Yoo Jae Suk was playing Cheon Song Yi, instead of Jun Ji Hyun, and were left huge disappointed. Kim Jong Kook was also revealed to be the big villain, Lee Jae Kyung from the drama, as he sought to eliminate everyone to become the final victor.

After going through great lengths to realize their true identities, HaHa and Yoo Jae Suk were shocked to learn that the big villain was Kim Jong Kook. The ‘couple’ fought valiantly, and HaHa even used his superpowers to escape Kim Jong Kook at first. The trio eventually got down to an unavoidable ‘fight’, and Kim Jong Kook was able to rip off HaHa’s name tag, leaving the former and Yoo Jae Suk as the final two survivors.

Having been depleted of energy from eliminating so many people, Kim Jong Kook couldn’t withstand Yoo Jae Suk’s attacks and lost, as the latter became the final victor of ‘My Love from the Running Star’.

Yoo Jae Suk went into the UFO by himself in the end sans HaHa, and kissed his gold necklace in elation. HaHa tried to get into the UFO at the end, but we were left with Yoo Jae Suk doing the infamous ‘Cheon Song Yi rap’ before the UFO blasted off into the night sky.

Kwang Soo whips up a frenzy - New Straits Times

The Korean actor basked in his fans’ adoration at a recent event in KL, writes Bibi Nurshuhada Ramli

WHEN Korean actor Lee Kwang Soo saw thousands at his recent fan meet in Kuala Lumpur, he was clearly amazed. He stared, wide-eyed in disbelief, at the hysterical audience members who were screaming his name.

He laughed in awkward embarrassment when a fan screamed at the top of her lungs.

Lee rose to superstardom after being featured in the popular Korean variety game show Running Man.

“Thank you so much for coming,” Lee said, looking appreciatively at the crowd. “ It was raining so heavily today, but I hope you’ll have a lot of fun tonight.”

The event, held at Kenanga Wholesale City earlier this month, kicked off with a montage of photos of Lee including from his childhood, and clips that showed his hilarious antics on Running Man. Lee then appeared on stage with a shy smile, looking dapper in a blue blazer. When he sang the pop number Hug, made popular by Korean boy group TVXQ, he sent the crowd into a frenzy because he had never displayed his singing skills before — and he did a good job that night.

He also performed his signature dance moves in between verses, making the audience laugh.

Event emcee TV personality Baki Zainal, who had to crane his neck to look at the tall actor, complained of a neck ache. Good-naturedly, Lee grinned and spread his legs to appear shorter, drawing laughter from the audience.
“Don’t you think he’s cute?” Baki asked the crowd, who replied with a thunderous “Yes!” and made Lee bashful.

“Anda comel (You are cute)!” Lee told them in return with a grin.

FUN AND GAMES

Four audience members were selected via a lucky draw to participate in a game. Each of them selected a character for Lee to mimic.

The talented actor didn’t have problems getting into character. He elaborately portrayed “tough”, “fashionista”, “aegyo (cute)” and “romantic” and ended up laughing shyly after each portrayal.

The four fans tried their best to follow what he did, despite their embarrassment.

The second game had Lee showing five different actions including his signature move — pumping a fist in the air — and making a heart shape with his arms.

Facing away from him, five contestants tried to guess Lee’s moves. A young boy, who managed to make correct guesses till the end of the round, got a hug from Lee.

For the third game, Baki stated facts about Lee, and the participants answered by making an O shape for “yes” and an X for “no” with their arms. Lee then determined if it was correct and those who got the wrong answers were eliminated.

Many fans got the answers right, resulting in Baki asking many questions until only 10 participants remained.

The true facts included “Kwang Soo’s height is 190cm”, “Kwang Soo’s shoe size is 10” and “Kwang Soo’s hobby is painting”.

When Baki called out “Kwang Soo started his career as a model”, Lee couldn’t stop grinning at the many who answered correctly.

“I feel great! You seem to know a lot about me. I’m very grateful!” he said excitedly. “It’s supposed to be a game, but I’m so touched right now. Saranghamnida, Malaysia! My heart is yours!”

The 10 winners received an autographed T-shirt each. One girl commented that Lee looked handsome, and he bashfully joked, “She’s lying!”

CLOSER TO FANS

Before the second game, Lee performed romantic ballad Because Of Love by Yoo Jae Ha. He also wowed the audience when he played the keyboard.

“I’m here to thank you for all of the support you’ve given me but I’m more touched when I see your love in person. I’ll forever remember you,” Lee said.

He also thanked those who took part in Running Man, which set him on the world map. “I love the members (namely Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Kang Gary, Haha and Song Jihyo). I have a new family now.”

He burst out laughing when he was told that he is a role model. Dubbed Prince Of Asia by his fans, he said: “Thank you for calling me that. I’ll live up to that name.”

Lee, who acted as a romantic man in the drama Dating Agency: Cyrano admitted he is one in real life.

His ideal girlfriend is someone who is petite and has a great smile. “You!” he shouted, pointing to the screaming crowd.

While he has played evil prince Im Hae in Goddess Of Fire, Jung Yi, he would like to play a Casanova in the future. “So far I love both acting and participating in variety shows.”

TRIBUTE VIDEO

The third song he sang that night was another romantic ballad I Believe by Shin Seung Hun.

Some fans gave him gifts — most of them were giraffe-related (his height earned him the nickname Giraffe), be it plush toys or scarves with giraffe motifs.

To show appreciation for their idol, the fans made a tribute video that showcased pictures of Lee and their heartfelt messages to him.

Lee watched the clip silently with a smile and by the end of it, he seemed very touched and even shed tears. “Thanks for welcoming me with so much love. I’ll never forget tonight,” Lee said, giving the audience a formal Korean-style bow.

“I’ll tell the other Running Man cast members I had so much fun here. I’ll tell them that Malaysia is awesome! I love Malaysia!”

Super Junior's Choi Siwon reveals that Gong Li is the best - Yahoo Philippines News

Jackie Chan, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, and Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha were guests on the January 23rd episode of KBS 2TV ‘Happy Together 3’ for the ‘Jackie Chan and friends’ special.

During the program, the hosts started asking about the recent developments of Chinese stars that were close with Jackie Chan. Yoo Jae Suk asked, “How’s Sammo Hung getting on these days?” to which Jackie replied, “We often meet together for meals. He recently turned 60 years old.” Yoo Jae Suk then shyly inquired about Maggie Cheung, before Choi Siwon gave the thumbs up and asked, “How about Gong Li? Gong Li is the best.” Jackie answered each and every question about his friends, and promised Siwon, “I will intro you to Gong Li when you go to Beijing next time.”

However Park Myung Soo kept on posing questions to Jackie Chan non-stop, which led to the latter pretending to be angry and shouting back at him, and led to much laughter all around.

Narsha then expressed her interest in Jackie Chan’s son, Jacycee, who was born in 1982. She said, “Jackie Chan’s son is really good looking, and also young. He is also filial to Jackie Chan. That has left a good impression on me.” Jackie Chan appeared to be really happy with Narsha’s praise in the aftermath.

Jackie then said, “My son doesn’t have a girlfriend now,” but he added almost immediately, “He might have one tomorrow though,” which left Narsha disappointed as she said jokingly, “He could date someone today, but break up tomorrow.”

Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jong Kook Fight Over Yoo Jae Suk on ...

On the January 19 episode of “Running Man,” actors Lee Jong SukPark Bo Young, and Lee Se Young were guests on the “secret love” themed special episode.

The members and guests were divided into two teams by gender, with Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo dressing up as girls to even things out. During one of the games, the members on the female team had to choose a member from the male team to complete a mission together. Kim Jong Kook, dressed as an “adorable” high school student held out his hand to Yoo Jae Suk, who flatly rejected him with a laugh and some harsh words- “Are you kidding me? Beat it!” Everyone, except Kim Jong Kook, started laughing, a little happy to see the usually tough and scary Spartakooks looking a little embarrassed.

To get revenge, Kim Jong Kook asked the other female members to not pick Yoo Jae Suk, and as Yoo Jae Suk’s choices came down to Kim Jong Kook and Lee Kwang Soo,  he grew a little nervous. Kim Jong Kook asked Lee Kwang Soo to not pick Yoo Jae Suk so he can partner up with him and annoy him, but Lee Kwang Soo replied, “Love is free.” In the end, Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jong Kook both held out their hands to Yoo Jae Suk, and Yoo Jae Suk immediately chose Lee Kwang Soo with a curt “Beat It” to Kim Jong Kook. Sad music played once again for Kim Jong Kook as Yoo Jae Suk belatedly worried about Kim Jong Kook’s retaliation.

Who Can Resist 'Respond 1994' Star Dohee? - KpopStarz

Tiny G's Dohee became popular through her role in tvN drama "Respond 1994." Even after the drama was concluded, her popularity didn't die down. Her cute youthful look and thick Jeollado accent makes it hard not to fall in love with the star. That must be her secret.

Like Us on Facebook

Dohee appeared on the 2014 Rising Star special of KBS 2TV's entertainment program "Happy Together 3." Kim Sung Kyun, Seo Ha Joon, Han Joo Wan, and Soo Bin also made an appearance on this January 9th broadcast. Although Dohee was the smallest, her witty banter was bigger than anyone else's on the show.

Dohee stated, "I'm Dohee. I debuted as a singer in Tiny G, but more people know me as an actress."

Dohee revealed that she most strongly takes notice of her popularity when she considers her food purchase costs. She said, "Before I had a hard time ordering food that costs 7 to 8 dollars, but just recently I ate a 15 dollar Korean meal." The fact that she was proud of such a small feat was so cute, and elicited laughter from the others. But as soon as someone pointed out that she resembles Ha Ji Won, she was humbled by the praise and became shy.

Even still, she actively promoted her group Tiny G. Since she's been acknowledged by the public as an actress, it seems as if she wants to succeed as a singer as well. She revealed the group's survival strategy among the jungle of girl groups. She shared that Tiny G always takes photos with tall groups to become a hot issue with their height, and revealed that according to company policies they weren't allowed to wear insoles to add a couple inches. Her honest disclosure elicited laughter once again.

In addition, Dohee's thick and unique Jeollado accent added to the entertainment factor of their talk. Although now it is a unique factor that is largely regarded as one of her strengths, at one point she had struggled with the accent which she once considered a weakness. She said, "Before my accent was even more severe, so I went with a concept of mysticism" and shared her struggles of the past. She revealed that she's naturally good-natured and outgoing, but when she would have to use the 'normal' Seoul dialect, her shoulders would get tense. The pressure of speaking in a different way made her nervous and even resulted in lowered confidence. Dohee said, "However now I'm so happy to be able to speak in both dialects."

Dohee's down-to-earth personality shined even brighter in the eating portion of the show. She stepped forth as a food judge in place of Park Mi Sun. She made honest comments such as "It's not my style" and "It's not something I'd want to cook and eat."

They visited the issue of her mother's kimbap store, and Yoo Jae Suk suggested the owner to change the name of the shop to "Dohee Kimbap." Dohee responded flatly, "That's a chain store so she can't just change the name," causing laughter. Yoo Jae Suk praised Dohee and said, "You're so honest, right-minded, and very determined."

Although Dohee was the smallest guest on this broadcast of "Happy Together 3," she left the biggest impression with her down-to-earth personality and honest comments.
