Jung Hyun Don's Cartoon Into a Budget With 20 Billion - KDramaStars

 "Woman Wars" by cartoonist Park In Kwon that got famous through MBC "Endless Challenge" is becoming a drama.

Vermedia which is the producer of SBS Drama "Yawang" said that they were planning "Woman Wars" as a drama on October 24th.  A staff member from Vermedia said, "We've contracted this a while ago and had the copyrights from Park In Kwon.  We've been starting this project since the beginning of the year but phone calls have been coming in like crazy, so we're surprised."  Vermedia is making a 100 episode omnibus drama with a budget of 20 Billion KRW and will be projected to be scheduled in the beginning of next year on a cable channel.

On "Endless Challenge" broadcast on October 19th, Jung Hyung Don's prized possession "Woman Wars" was released.  ON this day, Yoo Jae Suk saw the comic book and said that the cover was explicit.  Yoo Hee Yeol also showed great interest in this.  Jung Hyung Don went to Park Myung Soo who won this and said, "You have to read this when your wife isn't there.  Otherwise, you'll have a second child.  This made everyone curious about "Woman Wars."'

Furthermore, netizens were extremely interested to learn that the cartoon "Woman Wars" was an Adults only cartoon.  Afterwards, "Jung Hyung Don Cartoon" was ranked first in searches online on portal sites.  Even now, "Jung Hyung Don" and "Jung Hyung Don Comic Book" are ranked highest.  Moreover, one sports newspaper website that had published this cartoon is getting so many hits that the website server is down.

Vermedia Executive Director Yoon Young Hwa mentioned the criticisms and success of the shows on the American paid channel HBO such as "Sex and the City" "Band of Brothers" and "Sopranos" and said, "This project targets the worldwide market from the planning stages even beyond Asia and will be part of a killer content.  We're planning on projects in addition to the drama including the copyrights, character, OST and more."

Vermedia is opening with an ambitious plan of a pre-directed 100-episode "Woman Wars" and will be grouping two episodes in one as an omnibus story.  Depending on the nudity, they will make a drama and a movie version.  Viewers are especially interested in that the drama has a 20 Billion KRW budget.
