Five Korean Celebrities You Should Know More About - KDramaStars

Kdrama stars frequently appear as guests on variety shows. But the people who interview them are also celebrities in Korea. Although kdrama fans know their stars, they may not be familiar with the variety show hosts who get them to say and do some pretty comical things.

Here are five TV celebrities that pal around with and occasionally cross-examine your favorite celebrities.

1) Gary, also known as Kang Hee Gun. Gary might prompt you to ask the question "Is there anything he can't do?" He's a rapper with the hip-hop duo LeeSsang, a songwriter, record producer, television producer, a former break dancer, a restaurant owner and a cast member of the variety show "Running Man." He majored in specialized security at Yong In University, learning martial arts. He has been an amateur boxer for ten years and has an eighth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

2) Yoo Jae Suk. He wore a bright yellow suit in Psy's Gangnam Style video but he's best known for being the host of the shows "Running Man" and "Infinity Challenge." Yoo's nickname is "emcee of the nation" and he was voted the most popular Korean comedian for five years from 2004 to 2008. Known for his witty comments, he has been the host on "Infinity Challenge" and "Running Man."

3) Kang Ho Dong began his celebrity life as a traditional Korean wrestler. He went on to appear on the variety shows "X Man" and "1 Night, 2 Days." Having served as a host on "1 Night, 2 Days," "Star King" and "Strong Heart," he is considered to be one of the best television hosts in the history of Korean television. In 2011 he retired briefly but he made a comeback a year later.

4) Noh Hong Chul was also featured in the "Gangnam Style" video as the man who posed above Psy in the elevator. That partnership may have come about as the result of his collaboration with Psy on "Infinity Challenge." They sang "Shake It" together. Noh is one of the founders of and a regular on "Infinity Challenge," but he debuted with the popular cable TV show "Dr. Noh's Pleasure Street." He was also a panelist on Yoo Jae Suk's talk show "Come to Play."

5) Comedian HaHa, also known as Ha Dong Hoon, is also frequently seen on "Infinity Challenge" and "Running Man." When he's not doing that he acts, records music and does standup comedy. He was a singer before he became a comedian.He is also known for his work on the comedy "Nonstop." He received a Best Entertainer award during the 2011 SBS Entertainer Awards and is married to singer Byul.
