[by Chloe Yun] Korea’s representative comedian, Yoo Jae Suk currently received zero awards from two of the three major entertainment awards: MBC and KBS.
Yoo Jae Suk, who has always won at least one Daesang at the year-end entertainment awards since 2005, handed over the top honor to his fellow comedian Kim Joon Ho and the crew of MBC TV show ‘Dad, Where Are You Going.’
Many viewers and critics made a comment on his low score, saying that the ‘Korea’s Best MC’ didn’t make exceptional accomplishment this year, while a number of strong rookie and junior comedians brought a huge change and development in Korea’s comedy industry.
It is highly expected and very likely that Yoo will be the winner of Daesang at SBS Entertainment Awards. Yoo ranked first on ‘The Best Entertainer of the Year’ online survey, winning 68% of the vote for his variety show, ‘Running Man.’
However, many also think that it will not too easy for Yoo to beat his strong competitor, Kim Byung Man, who has shown great effort and touched many viewers\' heart from reality show \'Rule of Jungle.\'
