The ‘2013 MBC Entertainment Awards’ took place on December 29th at MBC Yeouido Broadcasting Center, which was hosted by Kim Soo Ro, Kim Gura, and So Yi Hyun. Despite the lack of individual awards this year, Yoo Jae Suk still shone brightly on the night.
At the 4 hour long awards ceremony, Yoo Jae Suk did not win any individual awards. Other than going on stage with his fellow ‘Infinity Challenge’ cast members to receive the Viewers’ Choice Most Popular Program award, the only other time Yoo Jae Suk was on stage was to present the Newcomer Awards with female soloist, Sun Mi.
Despite the lack of screen time, Yoo Jae Suk still shone brightly on stage with his gift of the gab and mannerisms. He represented the ‘Infinity Challenge’ members while saying the speech, “We will let everyone know what challenge is through ‘Infinity Challenge’ in 2014.”
During the awards presentation for Show Variety Male Newcomer Award, Sun Mi left out the name of Sam Hammington unknowingly. But Yoo Jae Suk came to the rescue with his timely intervention, and dispel the awkwardness almost immediately.
Viewers commented, “Although short, his presence was very impactful,” “It’s great to see that Yoo Jae Suk still has a strong presence despite the lack of awards.”
